The Atlantic BioVenture Centre is dedicated to building the rural bioeconomy of Atlantic Canada through an emphasis on collaborative incentives in research, business, education and supporting infrastructure. The intent is to maximize our corporate partners' efficiency in bringing new products to market by exploiting novel bio-products development and bio-conversion expertise and technologies in the Atlantic region. Industry partners benefit from ABVC's expertise in structuring systematic, cost effective approaches to conducting development with defined and targeted commercial outcomes. The Centre is able to leverage research and development dollars using federal and provincial assistance programs and can access existing public research infrastructure.

The Atlantic BioVenture Centre also provides assistance to corporate partners in establishing intellectual property (IP) as patents and trade secrets which enhance value and market position.
